Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 2-4 February 2010. Hi-end curved LED displays gave EKTA, a Ukrainian developer and manufacturer of LED displays, probably the most original and impressive booth among LED suppliers at ISE 2010. EKTA’s LED installation consisted of a horizontally curved LED display and five arched petal-like vertical LED displays which all were assembled from modules of iLVM 6C bf model with 6-mm pixel pitch and enhanced contrast and were controlled by the ERMAC system – EKTA’s revolutionary new generation controller/processor which was presented at the show.
The hi-end 6-mm iLVM 6C bf model from EKTA’s newest indoor display line with enhanced contrast ratio goes head to head with the latest trends in the field of large LED display development and is designed for the most sophisticated visualization tasks. With its full-color black Nichia LEDs it delivers more contrast and deeper black levels, raising the bar of LED displays to new heights of image quality.
The new generation ERMAC/SPU-005 processor/controller is a breakthrough in hi-end video processing technology for large LED displays and visualization equipment. It features 18-bit processing and five independent image channels, supports true HD and four types of control interfaces, PCIe, USB, GE and stand-alone (embedded ARM9). It also allows up to sixteen different LED display devices or digital panels in a chain and is compatible with all EKTA LED video display products.
EKTA’s product line includes professional outdoor and indoor LED display series, creative LED solutions, LED equipment for traffic control and various integrated products for specialized visualization tasks. All EKTA video displays are designed for reliable, no-failure operation in 24/7 mode with a lifetime of more than 100,000 hours. The company’s quality control system works under the principle of TQM and is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 standards. EKTA gives a three-year warranty with further service support for the entire lifetime of the product. The company’s outdoor product line has rugged IP65 rating and can operate under the harshest conditions of maximum precipitation, extreme temperatures, physical overload and even when in motion (i.e. mounted on a vehicle, etc.).
EKTA’s trademark calibration system Uniformity2 provides 99.5% of brightness uniformity across the entire surface of a screen as well as a separate module, which advantageously sets EKTA’s displays apart from among competitive LED products. Measuring 387x387 mm, the EKTA LED module offers greater flexibility in assembling video displays of any configuration including curved screens. It is 86 mm thin, weights 5 kg (32 kg/m2) for indoor and 6 kg (37.5/m2) for outdoor models which make EKTA displays some of the thinnest and lightest video screens in the world. In comparison to competing equipment with similar quality and reliability characteristics, EKTA products have a competitive retail price and ensure an overall low TCO providing reliable operation without any hidden costs during the complete lifetime of the products.
