EKTA exhibited at Prolight + Sound, the biggest trade fair for the event sector
Continuing to extend its operations and to develop distributorship network in EU, EKTA took part in Prolight + Sound 2010 exhibition in Germany, the biggest trade fair for the event sector.

Frankfurt-am-Main (Germany), March 24 – 27, 2010. Continuing to extend its operations in the event sector and rentals and to develop distributorship network in the EU, EKTA took part in the biggest trade fair Prolight + Sound 2010.

EKTA’s exhibition booth (hall 9.0 D80) had a unique and fresh design being constructed from curved hi-end LED displays with high resolution and enhanced contrast. The used models will include iLVM 6C bf (black faced) and iLVM 4C with 6-mm and 4-mm pixel pitch respectively. Both of them are from the company’s professional LED-Wall Indoor series which allow assembling curvilinear LED screens of various sizes and forms due to the EKTA trademark module architecture featuring extreme slimness (86 mm), light weight (5 kg) and compact square dimensions (387x387 mm). Along with the main curved display the vertical LED steles with varying surface curvature made from the iLVM 6C bf model demonstrated the LED-Wall series’ design and technical, both hardware and software potential.

This year for the first time EKTA has showed its creative LED WOW-line developed specially for the show business, event sector and entertainment industry, which includes tiled LED strips and semitransparent LED screens built on their basis (WOWstrip series), and interactive LED flooring (WOWfloor series). All visual equipment at the company’s booth was controlled with the new generation ERMAC system.

Elegant and lightweight WOWstrip elements are a powerful and multi-purpose tool for building semi-transparent LED screens of all sizes and forms not interfering with light, sound and wind. LED strips give a good solution for creating video decor for stages, exhibition stands, interiors, and facades. The WOWfloor modules allow displaying various visual effects on its video surface depending on the presence and movement of objects on it. A WOWfloor stage is easily assembled from 780x780-mm square modules weighing from only 12 to 32 kg using material of protective decorative panel (a standard panel is made of shockproof triplex with a glossy surface). The video floor interactive features work using special lighting detectors combined with active infrared sensors that enable object identification at a specific point on the module surface. This data is transmitted to the control program, and depending on the video floor surface settings, the desired video effects are shown. WOWstrip and WOWfloor products are protected in compliance with IP65 classification. Fully compatible with EKTA control systems, they allow for an indefinite number of colorful visual effects. A wavy WOWstrip screen and a WOWfloor stage will be shown at EKTA’s booth during the exhibition.

The new generation ERMAC/SPU-005 processor/controller is a breakthrough in hi-end video processing technology for large LED displays and visualization equipment. It features 18-bit processing and five independent image channels, supports true HD and four types of control interfaces, PCIe, USB, GE and stand-alone (embedded ARM9), allows up to sixteen different LED display devices or digital panels in a chain and is compatible with all EKTA LED video display products.

EKTA is among the top-5 manufacturers of LED display solutions in Europe. The company is also one of the leaders in the East European LED rental market with the largest 1,500-sq. m LED screen rental stock and more than 3,000 accomplished projects. The EKTA European office (EKTA Vision Company) in Germany, EKTA partners Eventech Company in Tallinn and Plasma Technologies Company in Moscow have their own rental stocks of various EKTA LED equipment for efficient client servicing in EU countries and in Russia. Last year EKTA LED displays were used in over hundred of projects in Europe including the OPEL exhibition stand at IAA Cars 2009 in Frankfurt-am-Main (Germany), Madonna concert in Tallinn (Estonia), Sonisphere Festival 2009 in Pori (Finland), European Women Basketball Championship in Latvia, new video of popular Swedish rock band Kent by Söderberg, Eurodom Project (part of Eurovision Contest) in Moscow (Russia), and many others.

EKTA develops its products taking into account the event sector’s needs. The newest technology, the highest quality and uncompromised reliability of EKTA LED display solutions along with low energy consumption and maintenance expenditures significantly cut down overall operation costs ensuring the lowest Total Cost of Ownership without any hidden costs during the total lifetime of the product. With the manufacturer’s warranty and after-sale support available in all EU countries and based on the company’s own production and R&D facilities EKTA products are an efficient and easy-to-use business tool for the event sector.
