EKTA’s Track Record for 2011
EKTA’s Track Record for 2011
EKTA summarizes: in the last year the Company launched a commercial use of latest technology EKTA 3D, as well as a number of new products, increased EKTA’s equipment operating factor in projects in the territory of EU countries, enlarged the number of its representative offices and strengthened its position in various segments of the visual equipment market.

Developments

In 2011, EKTA renewed a series of LED products to ensure road safety. A new series of LED equipment for road safety systems satisfies the requirements of the European standards, and confirmed its reliability in difficult weather conditions (high dust, thermal shock). Road signs and boards of transient data on the LEDs were installed in Turkmenistan, on the highway of airport Turkmenbashi-Avaza, on the circular road of Ashgabat, and on the highway of Leningrad oblast (Russia).

Apart from the series of products for road safety systems, EKTA’s engineers significantly renewed a number of models of LED screens. In particular, a video screen made for EKTA’s new European partner, French rental company UTRAM, represents an updated model iLVM 4C-Q with a physical pixel pitch of 4.7 mm. The model is notable for the improved colour processing (18 bits/colour) and can display more than 18,000 trillion colours. Moreover, this model is designed specifically for the broadcast of three-dimensional video and graphics.

Due to the advent of the latest Nichia LED video screens, the model LVM 9C was updated and currently it can be used both indoors and outdoors. The updated model created an interest from EKTA’s partners. Next year, video screens of this model are planned to be released for use in the rental business in the territory of the European Union countries.

In 2011, EKTA began to develop products fundamentally new for the Company – energy-saving illuminating solutions. EKTA’s LED devices for lighting of streets, squares, highways, yards, parks and playgrounds were first presented at the exhibition-presentation of energy-saving LED lighting technology, which took place in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in August 2011 and then at the International Forum on Road Projection, Construction, Repair and Maintenance "AvtoDorEkspo'2011". EKTA’s Energy-saving solutions are developed in accordance with European standards to meet the actual needs in the sphere of construction of roads and public services.

Three Dimensional Video

In February 2011, at the International Exhibition of Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam, EKTA first introduced the technology that allows for the display of a three-dimensional image on the LED screens. EKTA’s 3D technology is based on the use of the new generation control system ERMAC SPU-005, the development of which is a major technological breakthrough in the sphere of video processing and management of hi-end screens and other visual equipment.

Commercial production of large LED 3D-screens started in spring 2011. One of the most outstanding rental projects with the use of EKTA 3D technology took place in May and received worldwide recognition. A video screen model iLVM 6C-B was installed in the Swedish VIP-club for the three-dimensional live transmission of a football match. Later, EKTA’s video screen with a diagonal 7.11 m was added to the Guinness Book of Records in the section "The largest LED 3D-TV". EKTA 3D technology, as well as an updated series of EKTA’s LED screens designed to demonstrate the three-dimensional video, created a great interest among EKTA’s customers and partners. In autumn 2011 screen models iLVM 6C Q and iLVM 4C-Q were purchased for use in the rental business in the territory of Russia and France.

Installations

In Ukraine, EKTA also implemented a number of major installations, which serve as another confirmation of high reliability of equipment and service of the Company. Early in 2011 EKTA has completed a reconstruction of the country's principal clock on the main square of Kyiv (Tower of the House of Trade Unions), four video planes of which were previously replaced by EKTA’s full-colour LED screens. A full-colour video is currently demonstrated on the four screens of the tower of the House of Trade Unions.

In January 2011, the Company updated a subsystem of information display in the system "Rada-3" in the Conference Room of the Ukrainian parliament, replacing the plasma video screens by LED screens of its own production. Moreover, EKTA also installed several LED screens for the demonstration of outdoor advertising in the centre of Kyiv.

ÅÊÒÀ for Sport

During the last year, EKTA considerably strengthened its position in the video equipment market for sports facilities. An LED mediacube, which consisted of four of EKTA’s screens was installed in the Kyiv Sports Palace. Moreover, the stadium "Arena" in Sevastopol and two new racetracks in Turkmenistan were equipped with EKTA’s video screens.

EKTA’s solution for the Kyiv Sports Palace received a wide acclaim among the international experts of the audiovisual industry. Thanks to such distinctive features as easy use, ability of further integration of additional equipment, efficiency and economic rationality by which this project is characterized, EKTA won the main prize of the National Award «Prointegration Awards 2011" (Russia) in the nomination "The best solution for sports facilities."

Expansion of Geography

The year 2011 became a year of expansion of the geography of installations, dealer network and partnership representative offices for EKTA. EKTA’s LED screen complex was installed in an entertainment centre in Armenia. EKTA’s interactive LED floors were purchased by an Indian rental company. EKTA’s Azerbaijan partners added another set of screen modules to its rental equipment stock. Moreover, EKTA’s products are currently available for EKTA’s customers in France and Norway. Representative offices of EKTA’s Russian and Scandinavian partners were opened in Rostov-on-Don and Helsinki; as a result of this, the opportunities of the organizers of mass events in these countries have considerably increased.

EKTA has entered the French market thanks to its new partner, UTRAM Company. In UTRAM’s rental stock there is everything you need to hold unique concerts and concert tours of world-famous celebrities, to design TV-studios and to support social and political events. Moreover, the Company realizes projects for audio and video equipment integration. During 2011, several training seminars on EKTA’s LED equipment management were held for UTRAM’s specialists. A batch of the screen modules of the updated model iLVM 4C-Q will be shipped in January 2012, which adds UTRAM’s rental equipment stock.

Rent

The share of EKTA’s video screen use in various projects of EU countries in 2011 has continued to grow. Among the most significant events were Fashion Week in Dusseldorf (Germany), Goldene Henne 2011 award of the winners (Berlin, Germany), the international meeting "Prayers for Peace" (Munich, Germany), the awarding ceremony Emma-Gaala 2011 (Espoo, Finland) weekly TV program "Before the premiers» (Avant-Premières), broadcasted on French TV channel «France 2" (Paris, France).

Being a leader in the Ukrainian market of large video screens, EKTA has traditionally provided a visual accompaniment of the most of the large-scale events in Ukraine. Among them there are TV projects on all leading Ukrainian channels: "X-factor”, “Big Brother", "Ukraine's Got Talent", "Sing, if you can", "Dancing with the Stars", "Millionaire – Hot Seat", "Minute to Win", "Dreams Come True", "Who is against Blondes?", "Voice of the Country", "Freedom of Speech", "Phenomenon", "Show number 1", the program "Studio 95th Quarter", talk show "Blamestorming", "Big Politics with Yevgeny Kiselyov."

Besides large-scale TV projects, EKTA has provided technical support to a number of social and political events (II Ukrainian-Russian interregional economic forum in Donetsk), sport competitions and sport events (draw of the final part of Euro 2012 championship, friendly football match between Italy and Ukraine, grand opening ceremonies of stadiums in Kyiv and Lviv, celebration of the 75th anniversary of FC "Shakhtar", competitions held by Red Bull brand - rally on tarantasses, Cliff Diving World Series) and many other significant events. Among the events of 2011, which EKTA’s rental department is proud of, are the video show "The Night of the AD Eaters" and a concert with a record number of LED equipment in Ukraine (over 800 sq. m.), held at the central square in Kiev on the Independence Day of Ukraine.

An official recertification audit of EKTA’s Quality Management System took place in October, as a result of which a QSCert group of international expert-auditors confirmed its compliance with the new requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008. EKTA’s Compliance with the highest international standards is based on the values, which are focused on the customers’ needs, product quality, innovations, staff training standards, as well as social responsibility and environmental protection.
